The Plant Quarantine Sub-department of Region 2 has announced some changes in issuing Plant Quarantine Certificates from 24/06/2024, as follows:
1. Only declare in the draft certificate the contents within the scope of plant inspection certification.
2. In the means of transport section (section number 6), only declare the type of vehicle or mode of transport, for example: "By sea", "By vessel", "By air", "By truck", without necessarily including the name of the vehicle, flight number, or bill number.
3. In cases where it is necessary to make a cross-reference between the certificate and other documents, the container number or document number (such as contract or C/O) can be used, which should already be available at the time of drafting the certificate. The cross-reference note can be provided in the "Additional Information" section or as an attachment to the certificate. It can be presented in parentheses, starting with the phrase "Ref:", for example: "Ref: Container number ABCDF", "Ref: Contract number 123456".
