For a first-time import-export business in Vietnam, you will encounter many difficulties in paying taxes, such as import-export tax, corporate income tax, business license tax, VAT, etc.
When you go to make the payment for taxes, the questions of the bank make you not know where to get the information to give the bank when they ask.
What are the sub code (chapter code), industry code, and economics code of business? Where do you take information for that question?
Has the company information been updated on the General Department of Taxation?

Does the sub code (chapter code) change if the company address is in Ho Chi Minh but the shipment is imported to Hai Phong / Hanoi?
Today, Sea Dragon Company will give you how to look up sub code (chapter code) for first-time import-export businesses:
Step 1: First, you access the General Department of Taxation at HERE.
Step 2: Enter the information into “Tax code” and “Verification” and Click on “Search”
Step 3: If the business information doesn’t appear, it means your business information hasn’t been on the system. You should contact the General Department of Taxation to request an update immediately.
Step 4: If the business information is on the General Department of Taxation, you will see your business on the website. Click on the highlighted in bold name in the column “Name of the taxpayer". Detailed information will appear.
Step 5: Checking the business information and look up the sub code (chapter code) as below picture:
Step 6: If the business information is incorrect, you should contact the General Department of Taxation to revise the information urgently.
And you should note that:
Customs will get company data from the General Department of Taxation. If business information hasn't been updated or is incorrect, the customs system will be wrong. So that will cause trouble for businesses later (customs clearance, delay in picking up goods, etc.)
The sub code (chapter code) doesn’t change when you pay taxes for imported shipments in another area.
